Welcome to the District Attorney’s website for the 26th Prosecutorial District of the State of North Carolina.

It is my privilege to have been elected District Attorney in November 2010. I took the oath of office on January 1, 2011. As the elected District Attorney, I am responsible for the prosecution of all crimes that occur in Mecklenburg County.  It is my intent to use the resources and tools available to the District Attorney's Office to ensure the citizens of Mecklenburg County are safe.  I plan to strengthen and reinvigorate the Office of the District Attorney through proven leadership and by focusing its efforts on the day-to-day prosecution of criminals.

In partnership with the public, law enforcement, judiciary, Public Defender's Office, community groups and civic organizations, I am committed to professionally, fairly and efficiently administering justice that ultimately makes Mecklenburg County a better and safer place to live, work and raise a family.
