Victim Information

ATTENTION ALL VICTIMS & WITNESSES: If your address or phone number changes (from that given to police when the initial report was taken), please contact our office at 704-686-0700 and provide the new information immediately if there has been an arrest in your case. If the police have not yet solved the case or made an arrest, please continue to keep the police updated with your contact information (not the DA's Office). If you are the victim of a misdemeanor offense (other than domestic violence), an ADA will speak with you about the case in the courtroom.

If you are the victim of domestic violence, click here.

If you are the victim of a felony, our office will mail some information and other materials to you. Please review the materials, complete any forms as requested, and return the necessary information to us as soon as possible.

If a member of the DA's Office has requested that you complete a "victim impact statement" and you have not received your copy via U.S. Mail or otherwise need an additional copy, please print one and return it as soon as possible: Victim Forms

If you wish to report a crime, please contact the appropriate law enforcement agency immediately. The DA's Office does not investigate crimes; all investigations are conducted by law enforcement. For a list of many law enforcement agencies in Mecklenburg County, visit our Links page.
