Assistant District Attorney
Individuals interested in applying for a position as an Assistant District Attorney should submit any application materials that they wish to have considered to:

The Hon. R. Andrew Murray
District Attorney
720 E. 4th Street, Suite 403
Charlotte, NC 28202

Legal Assistant
Individuals interested in employment as a legal assistant should visit this website: www.nccourts.org and click on "Jobs" and then "AOC Job Vacancies." Applications must be submitted by following the specific instructions provided with each job listing.  Please note that jobs are not always available and listings will only appear when applications are being accepted for an open position. Be sure that the job listing specifies "Mecklenburg County" if you wish to apply to our office.

Intern
The summer internship program is a full-time program usually beginning during the last week of May and ending during the first week of August. Intern positions are unpaid. On-campus interviews are held at many NC law schools. Our office typically does not hire high school or undergraduate students as interns; however, in extraordinary circumstances, exceptions may be made.

Summer 2012 Intern Application Instructions: Submit a cover letter, resume, and any other materials that you wish to have considered, to:

District Attorney's Office
Attn: Summer Intern Coordinators
720 E. 4th Street, Suite 403
Charlotte, NC 28202

Extern
Law school students interested in an unpaid externship through their law school’s academic program during the Fall or Spring semesters should first contact the designated coordinator at their law school. Further questions can be directed to ADAs Bryan Crocker and David Kelly at 704-686-0700. Externs usually work a pre-determined number of hours per week and earn academic credit through their school; due to its close proximity, our externs are usually students of the Charlotte School of Law, but our office will consider applicants from any law school.  Any student wishing to complete an externship during the Summer must apply through the summer internship program (see above).
